Recent Updates
2022
We have established communication and a relationship with Minneapolis Interim Police Chief, Amelia Huffman. As we work together on providing insight, ideas, and solutions on police reform, crime prevention, and establishing a new outlook on our police-community relationship.
We currently are working on five specific action items, from our Memorandum of Agreement, which was initially created in 2003 by the Unity Community Mediation Team in collaboration with our Minneapolis Police Department. These action items are currently in the process of being generated in legislative bills to be voted on by our House of Representatives and Senate.
As we closed out 2021, with our "Series of Community Conversations." We approached 2022, with a focused mindset on achieving the goal of bringing the ideas and vision that the young people throughout various communities in Minneapolis. The young people of Minneapolis envisioned an oasis, refuge, safe space. The idea to create a Youth Pathway Center, filled with projects, programs, and initiatives to help our next generation excel to new heights.

Three-Day Youth Leadership Summit
Objective: To provide community leadership training and skills development for young people, from diverse backgrounds, who are interested in emerging as leaders in business, government, industry, and non-profit sectors across our Twin Cities.
