Our Mission

PictureCo-Chair, Miles Wilson with Former Minneapolis Police Chief, Medaria Arradondo.
It is OUR community, we need OUR voices heard!

The Young People's Task Force was formed under the Unity Community Mediation Team in September 2020.

Since then, it has been our mission and goal to advocate and bring in the next generation of voices to our city leaders to help make decisions that affect young people.

Generally, when decisions are made on behalf of a community, those decisions are made by politicians, policy makers, and city and state leaders.

We've recognized that the vision, idea, and voice of young people is critical piece that is missing when decisions are made, and that critical piece is the next generation.

Please join us, as we continue to expand, collaborate, and network with other young people to help to create a new Minneapolis that has our next generation at the forefront, leading the way.
